Anyway, I changed my mind about "Superman: Blackest Night". I just needed a bit of a refresher in my Green Lantern 101, and I also need to check out the main "Blackest Night" series.
Here's the deal:
There are seven color Corps. Each color, deriving it's color from the rainbow, represents an emotion.
The Corps is basically an alliance of chosen heroes given a power ring of a certain color, BTW.
Green- Willpower
Red- Rage
Orange- Avarice (Greed)
Yellow- Fear
Blue- Hope
Indigo- Compassion
Violet- Love
These groups have basically always been at war with each other.
Anywho, something wonky happens somewhere, and Black Power rings show up. Dead super-heroes from every dimension and reality begin rising from their graves, led by the villain Black Hand, who is also wearing one of these rings.
It's kind of like Night of the Living Dead meets DC Comics.
Now I gotta go pick up the first several issues of the main Blackest Night saga.
